Applications are now open to join the two-year, part-time Diploma starting in February 2019 in London. This course will provide you with the opportunity to complete multiple hands-on oral surgery cases supervised by a specialist oral surgeon within a primary care setting or specialist minor oral surgery clinic.

The Faculty of General Dental Practice UK (FGDP(UK)) has frozen its membership fees for 2018-19. For renewals in October 2018 and April 2019, fees for Fellows and Full Members will stay at the 2017-18 rate of £330 per annum (£198 after higher rate tax relief), MJDF members will continue to pay £300 (£180), and subscriptions for Associate Members will stay at £224 (£134.40).

The Faculty has increased the discount offered to members on its guidance and standards publications to 50%. Previously the discount was between 14% and 40% of the price paid by non-members, varying from book to book, and the increased discount has further lowered member prices by an average of a quarter. Excluding postage, four of the five books are now available to members at under £20.
