Open Wide: Dentistry day at the Hunterian Museum

Positive feedback to the Touchstone pilot

In the Autumn of this year FGDP(UK) will begin the process of rolling out a new e-portfolio for its members called Touchstone. Up until recently Touchstone has been in a pilot phase of testing which involved 150 participants. That pilot phase is now over and the feedback has been evaluated and acted upon.

New toolkit to prevent wrong site dental extractions

A new toolkit for wrong site tooth extraction, aimed at all clinical dental teams involved in dental extractions, is now available. Wrong site dental extraction is a 'Never Event', and the toolkit has been created as an NHS Local Safety Standard for Invasive Procedures (LocSSIPs) by a working group which included representation from FGDP(UK).
