RECRUITING: Tutors for the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry

The Faculty of General Dental Practice is now recruiting for Tutors for the London and Manchester Cohorts of the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. This two year course is practical, patient-based and clinically relevant. It will enable practitioners to develop advanced skills and knowledge in a structured and progressive environment, which supports workplace-based training.

Oral Health in Older People Needs Greater Focus Urges FGDP(UK)

The growing numbers of older people, including the emergence of “the oldest old” requires an increased focus in addressing their specific oral health needs according to the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK).

FGDP(UK) Governance Consultation Deadline

9 May 2013
Members of the FGDP(UK) are advised that the deadline for responding to the recent recommendations for governance is May 30 2013. Proposals include reducing the size of the current board from 29 to 14 seats. This will be done by replacing national and divisional seats by regional seats. Each regional Board member will represent up to two divisions at the Faculty Board.

Assessors required for FGDP(UK) Fellowship award
