Notification of elections to the National Faculty Board

Nomination for elections will soon be held for two national and seven regional seats on the National Faculty Board. The Board sets the strategy for the FGDP(UK) and oversees its implementation, and elected candidates will serve a three year term.

Full Members and Fellows of FGDP(UK) are eligible to stand, and will receive a call for nominations, with a link to the online nomination form, on Tuesday 5 March 2019. Those in the Central London, East Scotland, North East and North West Thames, Wessex & Oxford, West & North Scotland, Yorkshire & Northern and Overseas divisions will be invited to stand for election to the corresponding divisional seat, and all those who are UK-based will be invited to stand for the national seats.

Candidates will then have until 5pm on Thursday 4 April 2019 to submit a completed online nomination form, including details of two Full Members or Fellows of FGDP(UK) (from any division) who support their nomination. Candidates will be able to stand simultaneously for both a divisional and a national seat.

Following the closure of nominations, all Full Members and Fellows will be eligible to vote. Instructions for online voting will be sent by email in late April, and ballots will close on Thursday 30 May. Results will be announced on Friday 31 May.

Further details of the elections and a description of the role are available here, and information on eligibility and admission are available in the FGDP(UK) Standing Orders.
