The Faculty of General Dental Practice UK (FGDP(UK)) has announced the 2020 date of its prestigious annual dinner and encourages all members to attend this black tie evening to celebrate excellence and outstanding performance in dentistry.

The Faculty’s 28th Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony will take place on Thursday 12 March 2020, from 7pm, at The May Fair hotel, London. Tickets are available until 2 March 2020.

As well as a drinks reception, three course meal and after-dinner address, the evening will incorporate the FGDP(UK) Awards Ceremony where the 2020 award winners will be commended with the highest level of recognition.

This year sees the introduction of a new award that recognises excellence within the future of the dental profession by celebrating the achievements of an outstanding dental student. Nominations can be submitted by a tutor, peer or by the student themselves.

The full set of Annual Awards categories are: Dean’s Award; Foundation Dentist Award; Community Contribution Award; and Dental Student of the Year. Nominations close on 31 January 2020.

The dinner is being held on the same day as the FGDP(UK) Annual Diplomates’ Ceremony which recognises successful graduates from its renowned postgraduate diplomas and certificates, providing a further opportunity to celebrate achievements within primary care dentistry.

The FGDP(UK) Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony is always a special event and a well-deserved opportunity for Faculty members to connect, share experiences and mark outstanding achievement in dentistry.
