Faculty Board Election Results 2019

Following the National Faculty Board election, that closed on 30 May 2019, the Faculty of General Dental Practice UK (FGDP(UK)) is pleased to announce the following candidates have been successfully elected onto the National Faculty Board:

Members of the National Faculty Board were voted in by Full Members and Fellows of FGDP(UK) through the online voting platform on the Electoral Reform Services (ERS) website.

Five of the Regional seats were not contested, but two Regional seats, North East & North West Thames and Overseas Member Representative, received multiple nominations and were put to the vote.

Nik Pandya was successful in winning the North East & North West Thames seat and Eldo Koshy was elected as the Overseas Member Representative. Eight nominations were received for two National vacancies and these were won by Mark Richardson and Helen Kaney.                                      

The National Faculty Board is the Faculty's governing body and sets the strategy for the FGDP(UK) and oversees its implementation. It consists of elected representatives from the membership to represent one or more local Divisions with each elected member serving a three-year term of office.

The members of the National Faculty Board elect the Dean, currently Ian Mills, who provides professional leadership to the Faculty. The Dean, the Dean's Executive Committee, and Chairs of Standing Committees work with the Director to oversee the operation of the Faculty.
