Faculty’s Covid-19 response recognised in international awards

The Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) (FGDP(UK)), is delighted to announce that it has won a silver medal for the ‘Most Valuable Corporate Response’ in the Covid-19 category of the 2020 International Business Awards, recognising its support to dentists to reopen and return to practice safely. The Faculty also claimed a bronze medal for ‘Organisation of the Year’ in the non-profit (small) category.

The silver medal was awarded to FGDP(UK) in recognition of its Implications of Covid-19 for the safe management of general dental practice: A practical guide and the series of joint dental Faculty webinars presented during lockdown, in conjunction with The Faculty of Dental Surgery (RCS Eng); Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

The International Business Awards are one of the world’s premier business awards programmes. All individuals and organisations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations. The 2020 IBAs received entries from organisations in 63 nations and territories with nominations judged by a panel of over 250 international executives.
