The British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN) has announced four new awards, and is inviting nominations from anyone working in dentistry.
The award for Outstanding Service to Dental Nursing Professional Practice will be made to someone with at least ten years’ experience who has made a significant contribution to the development or support of the dental nursing profession.
The award for Exceptional Commitment as a Dental Nurse Student will recognise dedication to progression and professional development whilst studying for a registerable dental nursing, post-registration, extended duties or higher academic qualification.
The other awards will highlight Exceptional Service to a Dental Charity and Exceptional Contribution to a UK Community Oral Healthcare Project.
The awards will be presented at the National Dental Nursing Conference in Blackpool on 17 November 2018. Nominees must be members of the BADN and, with the exception of the student award, GDC-registered dental nurses, and nominations close on 31 July 2018. Full details of the criteria and the nomination form are available here.
