Course Tutors Required for the FGDP(UK) Certificate in Minor Oral Surgery
The Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) invites applications for Course Tutors for the first intake of its Certificate in Minor Oral Surgery commencing in March 2012.
The aim of this programme is to provide education and training to enable general dental practitioners to deal effectively with minor oral surgery cases in their own practice.
Tutors will be expected to host tutee(s) in their practice for a 12 day clinical attachment over 12 months and attend at least 2 of the 6 contact learning units at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Responsibilities will include:
- Allowing tutee(s) to observe them completing 25 oral surgery cases
- Supervising tutee(s) completion of 25 oral surgery cases
- Reviewing and advising on 25 cases tutee(s) carry out in their own practice
- Assessing participants’ completion of practical sessions at contact learning units
This is a one year programme held in the main at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London.
