One hundred and twenty-one dentists have been ratified as passing the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) Part 2 examinations held in Sheffield, Cairo and Kuala Lumpur. MJDF is jointly awarded by FGDP(UK) and the Faculty of Dental Surgery (RCS Eng) and is considered the mark of successful completion of Dental Foundation Training.

Five dentists will be awarded the FGDP(UK) Diploma in Implant Dentistry, one has achieved the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry, and one candidate successfully completed assessment for Fellowship of the Faculty.

Twenty-six dental care professionals have qualified for the FGDP(UK)-awarded Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, twelve have earned the Diploma in Dental Hygiene and one has completed the Diploma in Dental Therapy.

The awards were ratified by the Faculty Board at its October meeting and relate to examinations and assessments completed between March and August 2018. The successful candidates will be invited to have their award presented at the annual Diplomates Ceremony on Friday 15 March 2019 in central London.

The Faculty’s Annual Awards Dinner will be held later the same day, providing a further opportunity to celebrate their success. Diplomates and their families are encouraged to attend.

A further 575 candidates have successfully passed the MJDF Part 1 examination over recent months, enabling them to progress to Part 2.
