The Faculty of General Dental Practice UK (FGDP(UK)) offers its congratulations to over 500 dental professionals who have recently passed its exams and assessments.

One candidate has successfully completed the assessment for Fellowship of the FGDP(UK), which recognises the diversity of an individual’s expertise and their achievements in delivering excellence in primary dental care.

Thirteen dentists have been ratified to be awarded the FGDP(UK) Diploma in Primary Care Oral Surgery (Dip Oral Surg), and one hundred and twenty have passed the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) Part 2 examinations held in the UK, Egypt and Malaysia. A further 396 candidates have recently passed the MJDF Part 1 examination in the UK and at 22 international centres, enabling them to progress to Part 2. MJDF, jointly awarded by FGDP(UK) and the Faculty of Dental Surgery (RCS Eng), is the most popular postgrauate dental exam in the UK, and is considered the mark of successful completion of Dental Foundation Training.

Three dental care professionals have qualified for the FGDP(UK)-awarded Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy (Dip DHDT), and thirteen have earned the Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Dip DH).

The successful candidates for Fellowship and Dip Oral Surg are listed below. Unfortunately we are unable to list names in relation to the MJDF, Dip DHDT or Dip DH, and the results of other recent assessments may not yet have been ratified by the Faculty’s Academic Board, so candidates who have recently completed examinations should not be concerned if their name does not appear below. All those receiving awards will be invited to have their award presented at an FGDP(UK) Diplomates Ceremony.

The next ceremony takes place at the Law Society in London on Thursday 12 March 2020, and will be followed by the Faculty’s Annual Dinner and Awards, which FGDP Members and Diplomates are encouraged to attend.
