James qualified from Guy’s in 1981 after a house surgeon post moved into private practice and in 1987 opened his own practice in Fulham. After 32 years he now splits his time between restorative practice in Chelsea and teaching all over the UK.
He has been involved with the Diploma since Cohort 12 as a tutor and was also one of the two course leads in Manchester. He is heavily involved with the Fellowship programme, both as mentor and examiner and has been awarded an Honorary Lectureship from the FDS RCS(Eng). His prime interests are removable prosthodontics and care of the medically compromised/elderly patient as well as all things electronic including all things electronic. He was a past examiner for the Diploma in Clinical Dental technology and still remains hands-on in prosthodontic manufacture.
In his spare time James is a very keen aviator and thoroughly enjoys performing hand flown instrument approaches in a Piper Saratoga.
