More about our Restorative Dentistry courses

This course has been updated to reflect changes in contemporary practice and increased demand for restorative and aesthetic dentistry skills. Hear about the course from one of our Course Lead Nick Lewis

The programme modules are delivered in a progressive manner to an advanced level in the following disciplines:

•    aesthetic dentistry (direct aesthetic restorative placement, smile design, bleaching and bonding techniques)
•    restoration of implants
•    non-surgical and surgical periodontics
•    advanced occlusion
•    advanced endodontics
•    fixed prosthodontics
•    removable prosthodontics

The Certificate and Diploma modules are delivered in London using a range of techniques and approaches to embed learning as you progress through the modules.  Interactive activities are a core part of the programme, and include, for example, active case study discussions, tutor groups, clinical demonstrations, continuous assessment as well as presentations by keynote speakers. To allow you to apply learning quickly, these activities are designed to complement your workplace-based training alongside the support you receive from the tutors throughout the two year period.

Certificate and Diploma qualifications from the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) offer a step on a career pathway for dentists looking to progress professionally. For ambitious dentists these qualifications can provide a significant and compelling component of your Fellowship application. There is also an opportunity to undertake a MSc. In addition, the programmes include verifiable CPD, helping you to meet the GDC’s CPD portfolio requirements.
