This webinar will explore psychological techniques that have been developed to support people at times of stress.
The second in our series of 'Lunch and Learn' webinars on this topic held in conjunction with The College of General Dentistry (CGDent) and ProDental CPD, it builds on the first in the series, What is Stress and Why am I Experiencing it?.
By the end of this talk, participants will:
1. Be familiar with the ABC model of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
2. Understand common thinking errors and how to rectify them
3. Be introduced to anchoring and adjustment techniques to deal with stressful events
Drs Buchanan and Asimakopoulou are psychologists from the British Psychological Society (BPS) Division of Health Psychology, and the co-authors of Dentistry during COVID-19: Psychological advice for dental teams, policy makers and communicators, which was recently co-published by the FGDP, CGDent and BPS.
