| This sixth volume in the Teamwork series of publications was produced and published by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) with funding from the NCCPED for the Department of Health. There were 2000 free copies available to dentists and DCPs who work within the NHS in England but once these have been exhausted or you do not fit the criteria the Faculty have copies available for sale. The publication provides guidance on the extended duties for dental hygienists and therapists, support for dental nurse training for the NVQs, information about continuing professional development for all members of the dental team, as well as expert guidance on clinical topics for primary care dentists. Topics covered include restorative measures (crowns and impressions), treatment techniques (conscious sedation, periodontal and pulp therapy), pain control, dental nurse training and keeping up to date. |
