Team in Practice is a continuing professional development (CPD) journal for all members of the dental team, written by dental care professionals (DCPs) for DCPs and produced by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK).
The aim of the journal is to update all members of the dental team on topics that affect them, in an enjoyable and innovative manner. The main focus of the journal is a series of scenarios which raise an important issue in the context of everyday working practice. The article then analyses why the problem arose and what could have been done to improve the outcome, with a strong focus on peer learning and best practice.
Team in Practice is produced quarterly and is available only to Faculty members and subscribers. DCP Affiliate members of the Faculty are able to claim three hours of verifiable CPD from each issue by answering the online quiz which accompanies the journal, making a total of 12 hours of verifiable CPD per year.

Submission of articles
Most articles in Team in Practice are written by enthusiastic DCPs who are interested in further education, and contributions from first-time authors are always welcome. As well as being paid for your work, you will gain the prestige of having your work published in an academic journal, as well as a valuable addition to your CV or personal development portfolio.
