Contact Learning
There are 12 days of contact learning including:
- seminars,
- lectures
- practicals on cadavers and animal tissue
Participants attend 6 two day units at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London. These always take place on a Friday and Saturday.
All current guidelines and protocols will be considered. Evidence based practice substantiated by current reading lists and texts will be recommended.
The collateral approach of teaching surgical techniques on various mediums, and subsequently practicing them within a mentoring clinical environment, will allow candidates to develop and refine natural manual dexterity in the management of soft and hard tissue.
