Clinical Attachment
Participants complete an attachment of 12 days at their tutor's practice.
During this attachment participants will observe their tutor completing a minimum of 25 cases. These cases will include removal of teeth, fractured teeth, wisdom teeth, apicectomies and soft tissue lesions.
Participants will also be supervised by their tutor completing a minimum of 25 cases. These will include a minimum of 10 surgical removal of roots/ teeth cases and 5 soft tissue lesions /biopsies cases.
Having completed their clinical attachment, participants will be expected to complete 25 cases at their own practice.
Participants will log all cases in an elogbook log, which will be regularly reviewed by their tutor.
Having completed 25 cases at their own practice, participants will present 5 cases at a VIVA exam.
