Key Skills in Primary Dental Care Assessment for DCPs
A distance learning CPD programme in the skills identified by the FGDP(UK) as vital to a high standard of patient care. DCPs present a portfolio of evidence reflecting on their own activities and working practices relating to each Key Skill. This programme carries up to 80 hours of CPD and subject areas covered include medical emergencies, infection control, radiography and dental materials.

All DCPs on GDC Register of Dental Care Professionals, practice managers and dental receptionists.

Reflection in Practice for DCPs
Participants will in this online programme be able to develop reflective skills that are essential to both further learning and continual improvement in patient care. They will have the opportunity to present their reflection for assessment and those that are successful will receive a certificate of completion with 10 hours of verifiable CPD.

Team in Practice journal
The FGDP(UK) quarterly journal for the dental team. This educational journal uses workplace-based scenarios to highlight the importance of the dental team working together effectively in the provision of patient care. The journal benefits individual DCPs but is also an ideal training tool for those who have responsibilities in training and education. DCP members of the FGDP(UK) may also gain up to 12 hours verifiable CPD per year through the online CPD exercises that accompany the journal.

A part-time modular programme in leadership and management that is specifically aimed at those involved in the provision of dental care. The programme is taught at weekends and is therefore ideal for busy dental professionals who need to minimise their time away from work. Successful completion of the programme leads to the award of a postgraduate qualification.

Anyone in the dental profession who would benefit from developing knowledge and skills in the management of dental healthcare services.
