Career Pathway participants can gain credits towards stage 2 for the completion of accredited postgraduate programmes.
Many postgraduate programmes carry educational credits, known as CATS credits. One credit is normally awarded for every 10 hours of learning required to complete the programme. Career Pathway participants may transfer credits from their postgraduate learning to stage 2 of the Pathway.

Other ways of gaining credits
Some CPD courses carry credits towards the Career Pathway. A key feature of CPD programmes accredited in this way is that they will require assessment in order to be successfully completed.
For more information see the accreditation pages.
Practitioners that hold a contract with their Primary Care Trust to provide special interest (DwSI) services may also be considered for the award of Career Pathway credits. To find out more about this type of accreditation, please contact Kate Reece on 020 7869 6772 or kreece@rcseng.ac.uk.
