Aesthetic Dentistry for the GDP (Belfast)

FGDP (UK) Northern Ireland Division is offering an essential full day course in aesthetic dentistry for the GDP.

As demand for dentistry grows Dr Christopher Orr aims to provide a comprehensive programme covering all the main aspects of cosmetic treatments from case assessment to evidence based procedures and techniques.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. to understand the major changes that will occur in UK dentistry over the next 10-20 years;

2 to learn a systematic approach to treatment planning in the aesthetic zone (2smile design”);

3. to revisit traditional approaches to tooth preparation and apply these to making aesthetic improvements for our patients;

4. to consider current materials and adhesives, with appropriate selection guidelines;

5. to examine the range of material and preparation options for the aesthetic restoration of posterior teeth;

6. to examine specific evidence behind these techniques and critical appraisal of the research.

7. to give practitioners real life statistics to share with their patients when treatment planning.
