Certificate in Mentoring in Dentistry*

Course Applications
Applications are invited for places on the above training programme. The closing date for the Faculty to receive applications is 1 September 2010.
The Certificate programme is open to all registered Dental Professionals and anyone working in dentistry who would benefit from developing their skills in mentoring.
By the end of the programme participants should:
- Be able to mentor/coach dental professionals on matters pertaining to career and professional development;
- Obtain skills in helping mentees to assess challenges, identify options, define goals and plan steps to achieve them, and provide ongoing support;
- Understand the boundaries within which they work as mentors and understand at what point to refer the mentee to other professionals.
The course will provide candidates with a total of 30 transferable credits for the FGDP(UK)'s Career Pathway.
Course dates
Days 1 and 2, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September 2010, with Day 3 on 27th November 2010.
