Information for CPD programme providers

Since July 2008 CPD courses can be accredited by the FGDP(UK) for 20 internal educational credits towards the 'other' credits category of Stage 2 of the Career Pathway as well as verifiable CPD. This additional feature is of huge benefit to participants.

Please note that applications for accreditation of a CPD course can only be made by course providers.

To be accredited towards the Career Pathway needs to meet the following requirements:

  • include an element of assessment which must be completed successfully for the participants to receive their certificate of completion of the course;
  • state clear learning outcomes for their programme; and
  • be subject to evaluation by participants;

Accreditation, if successful, will be granted for 3 years and is priced at £350.

Accreditation will be provisional at first as programmes are required to undergo a successful quality assurance visit by a FGDP(UK) representative, after which accreditation will be confirmed formally.
