For dental practitioners

Practitioners who are currently undertaking, are considering undertaking or have completed a postgraduate course that is not currently accredited towards Stage 2 of the Career Pathway may apply to the FGDP(UK) Credit Transfer Committee for the course to be considered for credits.

Programmes can be considered for accreditation if:

  • they are at level M (level 7 of the English National Qualifications Framework); management programmes will be considered from level 5;
  • they are subject to external quality assurance;
  • they are relevant to primary dental care; and
  • and if they require students to undergo a successful assessment in order to receive the final award.

Please note that applications for accreditation of a CPD course can only be made by course providers.
