The East of Scotland division is back by popular demand! In keeping with the aims of the wider FGDP(UK), our goal is to improve the level of care provided to patients through standard setting, training, education and research.
There is a thirst amongst many general dental practitioners for a structured career pathway, and the FGDP(UK) provides this. Our primary objective is to give practitioners the opportunity to join a study group for the MJDF examination, which forms the foundation level for the Faculty's Career Pathway.
We also liase closely with the other two Scottish divisions in providing contemporary courses for the dental team. Our small but enthusiastic committee is determined to promote these aims and see the FGDP(UK) grow in the east of Scotland.
