FGDP(UK) divisions

What are the divisions?

The FGDP(UK) delivers its work with the help and active support of 21 divisions across the UK (to see how these have been assigned please view map below).  The divisional structure exists to offer local support and advice for FGDP(UK) members. Each division has its own Director and committee and also a representative who sits on the Faculty Board.

Although members are affiliated to a division, this does not limit or confine a member to the geographical boundaries of their chosen division. For example, many FGDP(UK) members choose to attend study days in neighbouring divisions.

Your local division can support you in the following ways:

  • Study day events at which you can gain CPD hours; to find out more about our study days visit your divisional page or the FGDP(UK) events page. If you are unsure which division you are closest to, view our map below.
  • Preparation for the MJDF examination through study groups through a network of divisional diploma tutors and  Career Pathway mentors.
  • Receiving support, advice and information for research projects via divisional research coordinators, click here for more information on research coordinators.
  • Providing the opportunity to network with peers and local study groups.

How can you get involved in divisional activities?

Attend study day events or become a participant on a local MJDF study group. Click here to find out more about events.

Every year each division has an Annual General Meeting; all members will be invited to these.
